How the preparation checker works
The checker asks about the areas commonly covered in a seafarer medical examination: basic measurements, vision, hearing, medical history and lifestyle. Your answers produce a summary grouped into preparation items, topics to discuss with your medical examiner, and documents that may be useful.
It never tells you whether you are fit or unfit, and it cannot predict the result of your examination. Medical fitness for sea service is decided only through the official examination and certification process.
